Interstate 10 has reopened in Casa Grande after being closed for several hours Thursday afternoon, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

All travel lanes were closed at milepost 192 due to blowing dust and a crash in the westbound lanes. The lanes reopened around 6:50 p.m., but motorists should remainΒ vigilant for blowing dust and high winds on I-10, authorities said.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said it is important to take precautions during dust storms. If possible, exit the highway or pull completely off of the roadway. Also turn off vehicle headlights, step off the brake pedal and stay buckled up inside your vehicle.

Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT.
