Above: Ironworker Orland Phillips affixed an American flag to the last steel beam of the new Banner-University Medical Center Tucson building Wednesday. As part of an ancient Scandinavian tradition, a tree was also raised. The new nine-story building, which is scheduled for completion by April 2019, is 160 feet high and west of the existing building.
