Crack-sealing begins Monday along West Irvington Road from South Mission Road to South Camino de Oeste.

Pima County commuters should brace for minor delays beginning Monday as the Pima County Department of Transportation gears up for a crack seal treatment on West Irvington Road.

From Nov. 27 through Dec. 4, the department, in collaboration with Tucson Asphalt Contractors, will conduct repairs as part of the Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program. Construction is expected between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The targeted stretch spans Irvington Road from South Mission Road to South Camino de Oeste. Traffic control measures will be implemented while the crack sealing operations are underway.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution, as turning within the work zone might be restricted.

On-site flaggers will guide traffic through the construction area. Authorities are asking motorists to adhere to traffic control devices and suggest allocating extra travel time through the area.

The DOT also warns mechanical failures or adverse weather conditions may prompt alterations to the construction schedule.
