Nearly 700 total acres burned in three separate fires Tuesday that were caused by lightning strikes, officials said.

One structure was lost. All the fires were either fully or partially contained by fire crews before the end of the day, according to a news release from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.

The Slavin Fire east of St. David was reported at 3:30 p.m. as a structure fire that spread to wildland. The fire burned about 120 acres before crews stopped its progression.

Twelve residences from Dragoon Ranch Estates about 15 miles southeast of Benson were evacuated. The evacuation order was lifted at about 10:30 p.m. and the residents were allowed back home.

One structure was destroyed.

Shortly after the Slavin Fire started another lightning-sparked wildfire was reported four miles southeast of Tombstone. The Davis Fire burned along both side of Davis Road through dry grass and brush. It grew to about 550 acres before crews stopped its progression. The fire was about 60 percent contained Wednesday.

Shortly after the Davis Fire started, another wildfire was reported in the same area. The Smith Hill Fire just south of the Davis Fire burned about 10 acres. It was fully contained by around midnight.

The Department of Forestry and Fire Management assigned multiple resources to fight the fires, including water tenders, engines, hand crews and aircraft. About 200 fire personnel were assigned to the three fires.
