A Pima County jury found a man guilty in connection with a homicide on Tucson's northwest side in 2016, an official said Tuesday.

James R. Lapan, 38, was arrested July 22, 2016 for the killing of Nicolas Morelos, 45, whose body was found with "obvious signs of trauma" days prior to the arrest, according to Arizona Daily Star archives.

Morelos' was discovered by a woman visiting his house in the 9200 block of North Grouse Place, east of Interstate 10 between West Cortaro Farms Road and West Linda Vista Boulevard.

Lapan, who's being held without bond, will be sentenced for one count of first degree murder and first degree burglary on November 2.
