Several memorial funds have been set up to honor and help victims of this month's shootings, and free grief-counseling hotlines are available also. Several fundraisers are being planned as well.

FUNDS

• The American Red Cross Southern Arizona Chapter is accepting donations for those who wish to honor U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. How to contribute: Go to www.redcrossarizona.org/giffords

• The Community Food Bank is accepting donations. How to contribute: Go to communityfoodbank.com

• John M. Roll Memorial Fund. How to contribute: Go to www.law.arizona.edu /news/judge_john_roll.cfm or mail checks, made payable to the "Law College Association" with the notation "John Roll Memorial Fund," to James E. Rogers College of Law, P.O. Box 210176, Tucson AZ 85721-0176

• Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund, held by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. How to contribute: There are several ways to contribute - go to www.cfsoaz.org and click on the link to the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund, e-mail christinataylorgreen memorial@cfsoaz.org, call 545-0313, or send a check to The Community Foundation fos Southern Arizona, In Memory of Christina-Taylor Green, 2250 E. • Safeway launched a fund with an initial contribution of $100,000 from the Safeway Foundation.

How to contribute: Contributions can be made at any Arizona Safeway store or by mail to the Safeway Foundation, Safeway Arizona Division, 2750 S. Priest Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282. Checks should be made payable to the "Safeway Foundation Tucson Victims Fund."

• Gabe Zimmerman Scholarship Fund.

Meanwhile, two alumni of the University of California-Santa Cruz set up a scholarship fund in his memory.

Mental-health support

• Free 24-hour hotline set up by the Arizona Department of Health Services Division of Behavioral Health Services and Magellan Health Services of Arizona for areas of the state outside of Pima County. Call 1-800-203-2273.

• Community Partnership of Southern Arizona's Tucson Tragedy Support Line is free and available 24 hours a day to anyone in Pima County; call 284-3517 or 1-800-796-6762. CPSA’s website, www.cpsa-rbha.org, has links to local mental-health providers and other resources, including a self-help section.

Support groups will be offered at no cost at the CPSA Training Center, Plaza Arboleda, 2502 N. Dodge Blvd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

• Victims, witnesses and their families can call the Pima County Attorney's Office Victim Services Division from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at 740-5525. The division also provides group crisis intervention; call the same number for more information.

• Free 24-hour grief counseling provided by Dignity Memorial Network. Call 1-800-854-8080.
