Menlo Park

The city and county have added new exercise stations and Menlo Park, 325 N. Grande Ave.

The project includes four outdoor exercise stations that were selected by the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association. The stations provide workouts for the upper body, legs and abdomen. The upper-body stations are designed for use by those in wheelchairs and are arranged on a concrete slab with a fabric shade structure.

The equipment was funded by voter-approved Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment funds of $55,000, a Cigna Foundation grant of $12,300 and dedicated park funding of $14,000 from the city.

Ward 1 Councilwoman Regina Romero, Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias and neighborhood representatives will hold a dedication ceremony for the equipment at the park at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6. The event is open to the public.
