Oro Valley Town Manager Greg Caton was in Grand Junction, Colorado, Monday for interviews as a finalist for the city manager job there.

He is one of two finalists in the western Colorado city, the (Grand Junction) Daily Sentinel reported Friday.

Last year, Caton was a finalist for the city manager job in Golden, a Denver suburb.

Caton was hired as Oro Valleyโ€™s assistant town manager in 2010, was named interim town manager in 2011, and was promoted to town manager in 2012.

He was previously assistant city manager in Durango, Colorado, for eight years, and he attended college at Fort Lewis College in Durango and the University of Colorado-Denver. He grew up in Colorado Springs.

Oro Valley paid Caton $173,583 in 2014, including salary and benefits.
