Crews late this morning were responding to a truck rollover on Interstate-10 north of the Orange Grove exit that resulted in a load of waste spilling across lanes of traffic.

Traffic on the westbound I-0 lanes were backing up while hazardous materials crews worked to get to the wreck, near the CDO Wash at the start of the Ina Road construction zone.

Details about what led to the rollover wreck were not immediately available. Initial reports said the truck was carrying medical waste, but an officer on scene said later there was no placard on the truck nor red plastic trash bags that indicated that was the case.

The Arizona department of Transportation was showing the wreck live on its freeway camera.
