The Salvation Army and Fry’s Food Stores want to fill backpacks with donated supplies.

The Salvation Army is partnering with Fry’s Food Stores in the Tucson area for the annual “Back to School Backpack SOS.”

From July 10 through July 28 the Salvation Army will be helping children from low income families get prepared for the coming school year by giving them backpacks full of needed school supplies.

The Salvation Army will have drop off areas inside Fry’s Food Stores in the Tucson area.

Items needed include binders, pencils, paper, colored pencils, glue, crayons, pencil pouches and other school materials.

Last year the program gave 125 children backpacks and school supplies.
