A Tucsonan whose television was stolen did some amateur sleuthing to get it back, and authorities now are seeking public help to identify a possible suspect in the case.

The TV's owner found it for sale on craigslist soon afterward and arranged to meet the seller at a Circle K near North Swan and East Camp Lowell Roads, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.

When the seller arrived, the victim confronted him, "at which time, the seller left the TV and fled the area," the sheriff's news release said.

Burglary unit detectives released store surveillance photos of the suspect Monday.

They're looking for a white male in his 20s or 30s about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build. The suspect was last seen driving a green Chevrolet Malibu sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
