A 20-year-old Sierra Vista man was arrested Monday in connection with charges of sexual conduct with a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor, police said.
At about 3:15 p.m., detectives investigating the sexual assault of a juvenile served a search warrant at a home on the 500 block of North Coronado Drive, belonging to Alec Hansen, said Corporal Tim Wachtel, a Sierra Vista Police Department spokesman.
Police located Hansen a short time later in the 600 block of Highway 90 and arrested him on two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Hansen is being held in the Cochise County jail on $100,000 bond, Wachtel said.
Hansen is the subject of an ongoing Sierra Vista police investigation and detectives have evidence indicating that he's sexually exploited other juveniles, Wachtel said.
Police are asking anyone with information about Hansen's known relationships with any juveniles to come forward. Information relevant to the investigation can be shared with Detective Sgt. Sean Brownson at 452-7500.
