A 64-year-old Sierra Vista man is jailed after police say he stabbed his roommate several times during an alcohol-fueled argument.
Rick Pastika, 64, was taken into custody about 7:30 Saturday night after officers were called to a house in the 300 block of Peterson Street, said Corporal Tim Wachtel, of the Sierra Vista Police Department in a news release.
Kurt Freeman, 57, was found stabbed multiple times in his abdomen, Wachtel said. He was listed in stable condition at a Tucson hospital.
Pastika was jailed on suspicion of attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and misconduct with weapons as a prohibited possessor. Patiska was being held in the Cochise County jail on a $500,000 bond, Wachtel said.
