Cochise County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested a woman they say attempted to mail contraband into the Cochise County jail.

Marybeth Ray, 32, and Marc Meeker, 35, both of Sierra Vista, were mailing contraband to inmate Larry Douglas, 30, officials said in a news release.Β 

Deputies say they intercepted a package intended for Douglas that had contraband inside.

Ray was located and arrested on Monday, a sheriff's office news release said. Meeker was arrested in July.

Both face charges of: possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, transporting a narcotic drug for sale, promoting prison contraband, use of communication device in a drug transaction, conspiracy to possess narcotic drugs, conspiracy to possess narcotic drugs for sale and conspiracy of promoting prison contraband.

Douglas was charged with conspiracy to possess a narcotic drug and conspiracy to possess a narcotic drug for sale, the news release said.Β
