American Furniture Warehouse will open its new store and warehouse later this month in Marana.

The 122,000-square-foot showroom and 115,000-square-foot warehouse will have a soft opening May 24.

β€œWe are thrilled to be opening doors in Marana/Tucson and look forward to becoming a trusted resource for quality furniture and exceptional customer service in the community,” said Jake Jabs, founder and CEO of American Furniture Warehouse.

The store will host a β€œbackyard barbecue,” planned for June 8, to welcome the community with games, food and giveaways. A portion of sales made that day will be donated to the Marana Food Bank.

Golden Parachute Properties bought 11,200 square feet of medical space at 6452 E. Carondelet Drive from AM Properties LLC for $3.2 million. Richard M. Kleiner and Alexis Corona, with Picor, represented the seller. Matt Bollinger and John Allen Smith, with Smith & Bollinger-Long Realty Co., represented the buyer.

Chapman Automotive Group bought 239,580 square feet of land on the northeast corner of 22nd Street and Wilmot Road from LDR Enterprises LLC for $1.8 million to develop an auto dealership. Debbie Heslop, with Volk Co., represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Tim Newquist, of Newquist Investments.

SSCW Arizona LLC bought 61,834 square feet of land at Valencia Road and the Interstate 10 frontage road from Valencia Crossing Long Term Investment Co. for $1.2 million to develop a Super Star Car Wash. Jeramy Price, with Volk Co., represented the buyer. The seller was represented by Terramar Properties Inc.

GEMCAP Development LLC bought .5 acres of land on the southeast corner of River Road and La Cholla Boulevard from ONE REI Willco 2 LLC for $780,000 to develop a Take 5 Oil Change shop. Jeramy Price, with Volk Co., represented the seller.

Mako Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu leased 5,324 square feet of retail space at Saguaro Vista, 7788 E. Speedway, from Saguaro Vista Ventures LLC. Rob Tomlinson and Andy Seleznov, with Picor, represented both parties.

Saguaro Solar leased 4,460 square feet at Frontier Village, on the northeast corner of Pima Street and Alvernon Way. The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker Isaac Figueroa.

Magic Balloons Boutique leased 1,200 square feet of retail space at Midpoint Business Plaza, 1801 S. Alvernon Way, from Pegasus Tucson Owner LLC. Paul Hooker and Andrew Keim, with Picor, represented the landlord.
