Modern Streetcar

The Sun Link streetcar has proved popular, with about 4,000 riders per day. This streetcar attracted a large group of UA students and other riders last August along East University Boulevard at North Tyndall Avenue in Main Gate Square.

Sun Link is gearing up to celebrate its four millionth passenger on the streetcar Thursday, more than four years since its July 2014 opening.

"In celebration of the milestone benchmark, the four-millionth passenger will receive special gifts and recognition when they come on board the streetcar," a Sun Link press release said.

There will also be a live performance from The Endless Pursuit onboard the streetcar at 5 p.m.

To watch the band play, riders can board at Main Gate Square on University Boulevard and Tyndall Avenue near the University of Arizona campus.

The company will provide updates on its Twitter and Facebook pages.

Questions can be addressed by calling the Customer Service Center or by visiting the Sun Link website.
