Cyclovia 2017

Cyclists ride along Church Avenue during Cyclovia on April 2, 2017. The second Cyclovia of the year is Sunday, Oct. 29.

Sunday’s Cyclovia event has an all new route that showcases some of the businesses and places on Tucson’s south side.

The biannual car-free event will shut down nearly 4 miles of city streets and allow bicyclists, joggers, skaters and walkers to rule the roads.

The 3.75-mile path starts at the Julian Wash Archaeological Park near the Loop, and continues down South 12th Avenue, with a trip down South Liberty Avenue, before returning to 12th and ending at Mission Manor Park.

Vehicles will be allowed to cross the route at major intersections, including Ajo, Irvington, Nebraska and Drexel.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
