A 16-year-old boy has died days after a rollover along the Interstate 10 frontage road in Marana, authorities say.
About 7:45 p.m. Sept. 10, the teen was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on the frontage road near the Pinal County line when it rolled down an embankment, Marana police said Tuesday in a news release.
The teen, who was not identified, was airlifted to Banner University of Arizona Medical Center. He died Sunday, Sept. 15, the release said.
Two passengers in the pickup truck were not seriously injured, the release said.
There was no indication of impairment. The crash is still being investigated, the release said.
