More than 2,000 people were without power in Tucson's south side this morning, according to Tucson Electric Power's outage map.

The outage began shortly before 9 a.m. and stretched from Ajo Way to Drexel Road, and Interstate 19 to the Sixth Avenue and Nogales Highway areas.

TEP crews were dispatched. The cause for the outage is currently unknown.

Power was restored sometime between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
