Damages from the fire have displaced the residents of the mobile home.

Two dogs died in a mobile home fire on Thursday afternoon, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

Tucson fire crews were dispatched at 4:56 p.m. after reports of smoke coming from the furnace area of the mobile home near 1200 West Miracle Mile.

Fire crews were able to quickly gain entry and battle the fire which started in the kitchen of the residence, a news release said. It took seven minutes to contain the fire.

The two dogs were killed due to a large amount of smoke from the fire.

Residents were not at the mobile home during the fire and will be displaced due to damages.

The crew set up a fan at the front door to help blow smoke out of the home and turned off all utilities.

The department determined the cause of the fire was accidental due to an unspecified electrical malfunction, the release said. A damage estimate had yet to be determined.
