A motorcyclist was killed Friday night in a crash on the city's west side, Tucson police say.
Joseph Henry Gill III, 51, was riding west on West Ajo Way about 7 p.m. when he collided with a pickup truck turning left at South La Cholla Boulevard, Tucson police said Saturday in a news release.
Gill died at the crash scene.
The driver of a 2006 Chevrolet pickup, an unidentified 71-year-old man, was headed east on Ajo when he turned onto La Cholla and collided with the motorcyclist. The driver was cited for for causing a death or serious injury during a moving violation, the release said.
The investigation continues.
