Pedestrian Collision McDonald's

Police have released the name of a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle that crashed into a McDonald’s restaurant known for its large T-Rex out front.

Barbara Angiolini, 54, was on the sidewalk before the crash about 11 a.m. Saturday near the restaurant near East Tanque Verde and North Kolb roads, police said in a news release.

The SUV driver lost control and the vehicle jumped a curb and hit Angiolini. It then crashed through a fence and hit a car in the drive-through before slamming into the restaurant, police say.

The SUV driver and passenger were hospitalized. Three Donald's customers inside were treated for minor injuries.

No citations have been issued, and the crash is under investigation.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
