A woman was struck and killed by a car as she crossed East Speedway Monday night, Tucson police say.
The crash occurred before 10 p.m. between North Country Club and North Palo Verde Boulevard. That portion of Speedway remained closed for hours.
The driver remained at the scene.
No details of the wreck had been released Tuesday morning.
