Parking lot and sidewalk closures at the Tucson VA campus begin Feb. 16 and run through Feb. 21.

An ongoing construction project at the Tucson VA campus will lead to parking lot and sidewalk closures starting Thursday, officials said.

Parking Lot T and the multiple sidewalks that will be blocked off will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 21, according to a Southern Arizona VA Health Care System news release.

Located between Building 1A and Building 59, Parking Lot T is the closes parking lot to the VA's Patient Advocate's office, located inside Building 1A. Patients needing access to the office should use Parking Lot A or Q, the release said.

The sidewalk that leads to Buildings 53, 59, 66, 68, 72 and 72 will all be closed, and anyone needing access to those buildings should park in Parking Lot A. Tram stops located in front of Building 1 and Parking Lot A to assist Veterans and visitors, the release said.

The VA is asking that people not use The Southwestern Blind Rehabilitation Center (Building 30) as an alternative route to the sidewalks that are closed.
