Monsoon 2017

Light strikes over the the Tanque Verde wash, partially filled with standing water from runoff on Tanque Verde Loop Rd., from the tail end of a monsoon storm, Friday, July 28, 2017, Tucson, Ariz.

Storm activity over the next week will be sparse, with the best chance of showers and thunderstorms happening Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning and perhaps again Monday.

Aside from those opportunities, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms will be limited to areas east and south of Tucson.

Daytime temperatures are again running a few degrees above normal, but high temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday should be closer to normal due to the return of moisture in the area.
