Tucson Monsoon 2018

With monsoon clouds developing last month, workers assembled a crane for construction on The Mark student housing near the UA.

Yesterday proved to be another rainy day in the Old Pueblo.Β

Southern Arizona received so much rain last night that a dam on the Tohono O'odham Nation was expected to overflowΒ and authorities were working to evacuate residents. Certain areas of the reservation received up to seven inches of rain within 72 hours.

It looks like today will be another cloudy day in Tucson, though chances of rain aren't as high as they were earlier in the week.Β

Currently, Snyder Road east of Sandario Road is closed. Old Ajo Way from San Joaquin Road to Ajo Way is also closed.

The next few days in Tucson are expected to be dry. Don't worry though β€” rain is expected to make its return on Sunday.Β
