City workers, members of local government and a small group of community volunteers took part in planting event outside the Thomas O’ Price Service Center located at 4004 S. Park Avenue, on Sept. 24, 2020. As part of the Tucson Million Trees initiative 25 trees and 120 pollinator plants were set down in front of the service center and parking area along Park Avenue. The event was held in Ward 5 where tree canopy is low and shade is needed to assist residents who are vulnerable to extreme heat waves. (Josh Galemore / Arizona Daily Star)
