Desert Ashram: Meditation center in northwest Tucson needs help with simple repairs and other maintenance jobs.
Primavera Foundation: Urban gardens help fight hunger, empower low-income residents, educate children and give youth and adults access to healthy food right in their backyard or neighborhood. Volunteers are needed to help weed and build four raised garden beds.
Habitat for Humanity Tucson: The administration office is in need of a facilities worker to pick up trash on the lawn and parking lot, take out the recycling and trash, sweep the sidewalks and use the blower to clean the lots and landscape.
Hospice Family Care: As part of the Hospice for Heroes Program, veterans are needed to visit with other veterans who are facing a terminal illness. Help with the presentation of a military certificate of appreciation and pin, and spend time with a veteran.
Tucson Urban League: ESL Teacher (English/Spanish) needed for two hours a week to teach a class and two hours a week to prepare for the class. Teaching experience is preferred.
