Greetings from Iowa school children sent to Mexican and Latino immigrants staying in a Tucson home owned by Catholic Community Services. The organization is looking for people to provide English instruction to refugee adults resettling in the area.

Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program: Help Tucson seniors live independently by becoming a volunteer office worker answering phones and assisting with scheduling appointments. Phone experience in a busy office environment is preferred, as well as basic computer skills.

PowerSource Tucson Inc: Volunteer needed to help a few hours each month to produce financial reports for board meetings. Experience using QuickBooks online needed.

Catholic Community Services: Looking for caring, dedicated individuals to provide English instruction to refugee adults who are resettling in the Tucson area. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to help refugees bridge the gap from their world to ours.

Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery: Looking for volunteers who are interested in assisting gym members during their weekly exercise classes. The members all have Parkinson’s disease. Some of the members need little to no assistance, and others need more.

Pima Community College Adult Basic Education: Seeking volunteers to help co-teach our career pathways class. The class is for highly skilled immigrants who have a college degree or certification in a profession from their country of origin that seek to move to the next level in their career or transition into college level.
