An emu was seen in an Oro Valley neighborhood this morning. Officials were able to bring it back to its home, which was at least a mile away.

An emu was seen roaming around an Oro Valley neighborhood this morning, officials say.

According to Oro Valley police, the department responded to 3-4 calls about an emu sighting near North La Canada Drive and West Moore Road.

Officials were able to capture the emu and return it to its owners, who live in the northern part of Oro Valley. 

A spokeswoman for Oro Valley police said the emu traveled at least a mile from its home.
