Just days after being found in a wash by construction workers, a tiny husky puppy with brain swelling is seeing improvements.Β

Construction workers were able to rescue the 2-month-old puppy after hearing him yelp in a wash near North Swan Road and East Seventh Street. They brought him into the Pima Animal Care Center, where he's currently being treated.Β

PACC thinks he was hit by a car, which caused brain swelling.

When the puppy was first brought in, he was in critical condition. But he's now stable and walking around, PACC said on Facebook.

The puppy has an appointment with a neurologist next week, and PACC says they're hopeful about the puppy's recovery. They're also accepting donations for anyone who might want to help in funding the specialty care for the pup.Β

The pup is currently being cared for by a foster. There's no word on when he'll be available for adoption.
