There’s an extreme heat warning in the region from 10 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Monday.

Tucson’s hot and dry Father’s Day also marks the start of the official monsoon season.

On the upside, the precipitation outlook for June 20 through June 26 is leaning toward above normal rainfall, the weather service says.

In fact, the overall forecast for the 2025 monsoon says it is expected to be wetter than normal.

Meanwhile, the weather service reminds desert dwellers to stay hydrated and avoid being outdoors from 10am to 8 pm.

There are several cooling centers open across Pima County.
