The hottest day here will be Wednesday, when the high temperature could reach 110 degrees, the National Weather Service in Tucson said.

Tucson is included in an excessive heat watch area Wednesday that stretches from Green Valley to Phoenix and from Safford to west of Ajo, the weather service says.

Tucson’s high temperature Monday will be 105 degrees, rising to 107 on Tuesday, the forecast says.

Southeast Arizona will experience low-grade monsoon activity this week. There will be daily chances — 20% to 40% — for isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly south and east of Tucson through the week, the forecast says.
