Tucson will be under a wind advisory that stretches across much of Southeast Arizona until this afternoon.
Gusts of up to 40 miles per hour are possible today.
High winds could reduce visibility from blowing dust, especially on Interstate 10 from Willcox to San Simon, near the Arizona-New Mexico state line, the National Weather Service in Tucson said.
The wind is expected to calm in the afternoon.

It will be followed by potential dry thunderstorms later today.
Those don't produce rainfall because there is too little moisture in the atmosphere. The risk, however, is that dry thunderstorms can produce lightning strikes. And that results in an increased chance for wildfires because of dry conditions across the region, the weather service says.
