The Tucson metro area could see rain and isolated Thunderstorms this afternoon, the weather service says.
There's up to an 80 percent chance for widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms in the region, especially this afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service here said early Wednesday.
Valley rain amounts will generally be between 0.25 and 0.75 inches, the forecast said.
Gusty wind, small hail and brief downpours also are possible near the isolated thunderstorms, the weather service said.
Today's high is expected to be about 68 degrees, though that could drop in areas that get thunderstorms.
Friday's high temperatures will climb into the 70s Friday and stay there through the weekend as the weather system leaves, the weather service says.
