A pedestrian struck and killed Saturday morning by a train on Tucson’s southeast side has been identified as 29-year-old Kyle Calloway.

Tucson Police Department investigators determined that Calloway was jogging westbound on and off the tracks, east of the intersection at East Old Vail Road and South Rita Road, when he was struck from behind by a westbound train, according to a TPD press release.

The incident shut down Rita Road at Old Vail Road in both directions during the investigation.
