Former Arizona governor Jan Brewer tussled with panelists Sunday on CNNβs "State of the Union" with Jake Tapper over political claims of racism and bigotry.
Brewer β who supports Donald Trump β said she was tired of having Democrats call her and other Republicans βracistβ for their support of the GOP candidate.
βWith President Obama and Hillary Clinton, every time you disagree with them, it doesnβt matter which subject it is, youβre a bigot or youβre a racist,β said Brewer.
βDang it, I get fed up that we hear over and over and over again from the president of the United States that every time somebody wants to support the Constitution and the rule of law that we are out there because we are racists and bigots,β Brewer said.
Former Maryland governor Martin OβMalley, who was seated next to her, eventually told Brewer, βI canβt believe youβre supporting Donald Trump.β
βDonald Trump is a bigot. Donald Trump is a racist. Donald Trump in fact is making fascist appeals,β said OβMalley, who ran in the Democratic primary and is now backing Hillary Clinton.
