A sharp contrast exists between the candidates running for county attorney. Career prosecutor, Barbara LaWall, versus Joel Feinman, a career defense attorney with zero prosecutorial experience. I worked for the Pima County Sheriff's Department for 21 years and have been a prosecutor in Phoenix for 18 years. My only stake in this game is my desire for effective law enforcement. LaWall often provided legal advice to me when I was a detective at PCSD and she prosecuted career criminals I arrested. Feinman, however, is a defense attorney at heart.

Maricopa County voters made a big mistake in 2004 when Andrew Thomas, an inexperienced prosecutor, was elected county attorney. The electorate paid a high price.
