Like many other people I love my phone, but the reality is that using a phone while driving is risky, not just for me, but others. I cannot tell you how many times, I have almost been rear ended, had people drive by a stop signs without stopping, or seen people speed through a road because they were paying attention to their phones, but not the roads. It is high time that Tucson did more to protect their drivers, pedestrians, and stray animals from people that pay more attention to their phones than the roads. This is why I support a city ordinance ticketing drivers who hold a phone in their hands while driving.
