I am sorry to read that Arizona Theatre Company is facing a financial crisis that may close their doors. My wife and I were season ticket holders from 2005-2008. We enjoyed may fine plays, including "Molly's Delight", "Freud's Dilemma", "The Glass Menagerie" and more. But by the end we noticed a change in ATCs play selection and decided not to renew.

The ATC's cultural tastes have changed. When the governing board chose to present plays like "Carnage", "The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson et al.,", and contemporary Shakespeare reworks we decided to spend our money elsewhere.

Other venues are not much better. Tucson seems to attract the same, tired Broadway theatrical road productions yearly. "Cats", "A Chorus Line", "Annie", and "Rent" have become stale. We choose not spend our money elsewhere. All shows must close: the lights dim, the players leave the stage and the crowd leaves the quiet theater.
