Re: the June 28 article "Theater company fighting closure."

Today we received an email notifying us that the upcoming season of the Arizona Theater Company is likely to be cancelled. We have been patrons of this theater since 1999 and this announcement is very disappointing since the other options for theater in town are significantly less appealing. While presentations at the University of Arizona's Centennial Hall are professionally conducted and provide quality performers and materials, the venue at Centennial Hall is pathetically inadequate from a seating and most of all an acoustic experience. While the university spends millions to update the basketball and football stadiums, they continue to ignore the fact that Centennial Hall remains completely and totally inadequate for most of the patrons.
