Re: the Jan. 8 column "Trump gets the headlines, but AZ lawmakers are the ones you better not ignore"
I applaud Sarah Garrecht Gassen’s column urging Arizonans to comment on the actions of our state legislators. She notes weighty areas like education funding, private prisons and child care, as well as erratic efforts by our state legislators on sovereign state rights and restrictions on city efforts like gun destruction.
She urges Arizona voters to make their views known to Arizona legislators. Here’s how:
• Go to ( bookmark this address) http://azleg.gov/MemberRoster
• Use the tab for Senate or House of Representatives for Arizona legislators
• Find the name of the legislator listed alphabetically promoting or sponsoring a bill
• Write an email to this legislator stating your views
Through these steps, you can make a comment in five minutes, letting your legislators understand your views of their actions and votes. As Sarah Garrecht Gassen concludes her article, “We must never allow Arizona lawmakers the luxury of our inattention.” It's time well spent.
