Re: the June 28 article "Theater company fighting closure."
The Star reported on June 27 that the Arizona Theatre Company would close unless it receives $2 million by July 1.
I was on the inaugural board of the Arizona Opera Company and also ran the organization that started the Tucson Children's Museum (the Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation.) Never would we have in either of those cultural organizations given the community a few days to contribute two million dollars. If the situation is that dire, and we are about to lose one of Tucson's finest cultural organizations, why did ATC's consultant not advise the general public before now?
