Targeting the target shooters

We learned that a recreational target shooter caused the Sawmill Fire. See the Arizona Daily Star 5/27/17 article entitled "Border patrol agent involved in starting Sawmill Fire".

Up to now this fire has burned over 73 square miles and cost 5.6 million dollars and is still burning. Is target shooting with all its fire risks, nuisance trash and noise on our public lands really a risk that we can continue to afford ? There are public and private target ranges that target shooters can use.
