It was hard to miss in "Trending Business" that the article "Mandatory Paid Sick Leave Kicks in..." was followed by this one on the automation of yet another fast food job. Of course, last week, the University of Washington released a survey that showed that the increase in minimum wage to over $13 an hour in Seattle has reduced the monthly income of the affected workers by an average of $125 as their hours were cut.

"No good deed goes unpunished," and we need to remember that when we as voters impose employment conditions on both employers and employees without their input.
