I read with great appreciation the June 17th article by Tony Davis concerning the environment, the climate and Tucson.

We need true leadership here to act locally and think globally, as the saying goes. It's my view that we are all engaged in a struggle that pits the profit motive of business against the health and well-being of we the people. It was sad to read the Chamber of Commerce and the trade council "could not comment" on the thrust of the article. I think their lack of response should have been reported as WOULD NOT comment. And that most assuredly IS a comment.

When my wife and I moved here from perpetually cloud-shrouded Buffalo, NY we couldn't believe there weren't solar panels on every roof top. We had our own panels installed a year ago and we love paying TEP an average of just $15 per month.
