Why I will be voting NO to raise taxes upon myself
The CITY OF TUCSON, INC. might as well burned $1,446,000 since 2013 when they destroyed 4,820 firearms rather than sell them to Federally Licensed Firearms dealers. Any firearm sold by these FFLs would have had a background check performed on the buyer.
This money could have provided vests for every officer and canine with money to spare to purchase some cruisers or other necessary equipment.
Then we read recently that the CITY OF TUCSON, INC. helped bail out American Airlines by paying $75,000 in to a fund.
These two examples are only the tip of the iceberg of the waste of hard-earned dollars the taxpayers provide them to provide basic services.
I encourage all of you to vote NO. Don't raise taxes on yourself.
