Re: Bill would allow Arizona lawmakers to make changes to voter initiatives. Lawmakers could rescind approved measures under certain conditions.
Jonathan Hildebrand: This is a dangerous bill. Our power as voters should not be taken away when lawmakers do not agree with the measures we support. The only logical solution would be to strengthen our power as voters, and vote in those that would not seek to undermine our collective power.
Ricardo Small: Every member of the Arizona Senate and House who vote for this bill should be defeated in the next election. Solidifying the oligarchy’s dominance in the Arizona Legislature is the only reason they are supporting this noxious piece of legislation.
Parker Knox: Be wary of these people you elected, Arizona. Here in South Dakota the legislators have now twice changed what the voters passed at the ballot box.
Diego Rodriguez: The GOP in this state cares more about ideology than the people they claim to represent.
Jackie Eliason Have they forgotten that they work for us? Not the other way around.
Morris Bacon: Time for a recall, throw them out of office and into jail.
Guy J. Shovlin: I’m not for it. There are other legal remedies for impossible to fully implement voter initiatives.
Richard Kowalski: Americans have the government they deserve.
Artemisa Lopez So if education funding bill goes through, the Legislature can immediately change it.
Nick Schell This needs to be rejected period. Power to the people.
John Wemlinger We need a voter initiative that the legislature can only RECOMMEND bills that the citizens vote on.
Mickie Harris AZ has taken us to court half a dozen times trying to override the voters. This is just another way to skin a cat. Here’s hoping the voters don’t fall for it.
