Re: County report: Sonoran Corridor would have $32B impact. Estimates based on impacts at full build out, possibly decades down the road.

Luis Ernie Barnett: Shouldn’t we build a loop in the city first?

Malex Xander Torres: Yet the potholes on Valencia, less than half a mile from our airport, looks like the surface of the moon.

Anne Peters: What impact will this have on all the businesses on the areas of I-19 and 1-10 that will be bypassed?

Sampson U. Ramirez: Illegal immigration super highway.

David Saucedo: Sounds like a waste of billions. Guess the landowners will benefit.

Mike Novack: Charity for Raytheon.

Patrick J. Lopez: It is actually a no-brainer to build this Sonoran Corridor and the proposed Interstate 11, both funded primarily with federal dollars. It is critical infrastructure. There is a reason such is supported by every Arizona congressional delegate, both Democrat and Republican. It is about the economic viability of the region. The Sonoran Corridor and Interstate 11 will have a significant economic impact in the future.

Jefferson Chambers: 104,000 jobs, huh? I guess most of those folks will commute from the new Villages at Vigneto subdivision in Benson. Is a study commissioned by the Pima County Board of Supervisors any more trustworthy than one commissioned by a private company?

Valiant Baker: The people this would benefit are a few private owners of land in the paths of the Sonoran Corridor. And the eventual destruction of Avra Valley with the I-11 bypass that will also bypass Tucson entirely.
