Our Lady of the Sierras suffered extensive damage during the Monument Fire in June 2011. The shrine is a destination for pilgrims from U.S. and Mexico. Photos from before and after fire.

Two week old Adalberto Mada Jr. sits under a statue of the Virgin Mary at Mary's Knoll, part of a shrine to Our Lady of the Sierras in the Huachuca Mountains that has become a destination for pilgrims from U.S. and Mexico. Adalberto's parents and grandparents brought him to the shrine to pray the rosary and thank the Virgin Mary for his healthy birth.
